Personal:

Started running in November 2007 to get fit. Now I'm back almost to square one after back surgery. I did it once and I'll do it again.

"In truth, runners don't race other runners. They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares. And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better."  Running for His Life by Michael Hall.

6AM: Weight training (legs).  Slow 4.5M TM run.

7PM: 3.42M outside.  I really didn't want to go and was a little sore from the weight training this morning but I slogged through it to try to get to 2k miles before the end of the year on Thursday.

645AM: Didn't get any sleep last night.  I really wanted to stay in bed but I knew that my 2k goal was out there and tonight would be sketchy as we get packed for our Fiesta Bowl trip tomorrow.  Limped across the finish line w/ some really slow miles but I'm looking forward to ramping things up once we return from AZ.
