Long-Term Running Goals:

Run at least one marathon every year until I buy the farm.

Qualify for Boston Marathon within five years or whenever I become famous like Oprah and get a sponsor's exemption- whichever happens first. I don't really have a preference either way.

Married; Four Children 2-12 yoa; Govt. Lawyer; Started running in November 2007 to get fit; Never used to run unless I was chased, now I'm addicted.

Busted my ankle last night playing basketball; went to the ER and X-rays didn't show a break; swelling was unlike any ankle sprain I've ever had and much higher up; they gave me crutches and referred me to an orthopedist; looks like running is out of the question for at least 6-8 weeks, Aargh!

Started a new running program today; I've been just running to log miles the past couple of months and I'm finally motivated enough to mix in some temp, easy, long and speed work; easy run today on the T/M; 8:57 pace
