Personal:

Started running in November 2007 to get fit. Now I'm back almost to square one after back surgery. I did it once and I'll do it again.

"In truth, runners don't race other runners. They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares. And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better."  Running for His Life by Michael Hall.

8PM:  Pretty good run on the TM.  Wind was howling and it looked threatening so I stayed inside.  The club was hotter than usual and I ate some Chinese for supper.  This was not a good combination.

Easy run on the TM.  Stomach ache made it harder than it had to be.

Long, slow run: Out and back on the greenbelt from Glenwood Bridge past WS Golf Course.  Unseasonably cool still.  I brought a small water bottle thinking I could fill it up along the way but the Parks and Rec still haven't turned on the water fountains or opened any of the bathrooms.  Considering all the budget cuts I'm guessing that they'll hold off as long as they can.  Did pretty well until around mile 14 and sort of limped home the last 10k dehydrated and starting to cramp.  Overall, not a bad run.  I just wish I could have finished it off a bit better.
